In case you missed the news yesterday, Google, who recently acquired Nik Software, just reduced the cost of their plugin collection by 70%.  You can now get the six photo manipulation plugins for OSX and Windows for just $150.

For that you get:

  • Silver Efex Pro 2black & white conversion, complete with film looks & borders
  • HDR Efex Pro 2 —make your photos look nasty & lacking in contrast…
  • Sharpener Pro 3 —a sharpener
  • Color Efex Pro 4colour filters & tweaks
  • Viveza 2another colour tool
  • Dfine 2 —impressive noise reduction tool

It’s a well respected suite of plugins that work with Aperture, Lightroom and Photoshop.

Thanks to the exchange rate, the full collection is between £80 and £90 over here, or £15 for each plugin.  Sadly you can no longer buy them individually (truth be told I only really wanted Silver Efex Pro 2…), but it’s still a heck of a deal.

I’d be inclined to pick them up sooner rather than later.  If you already have one of them, you’ve probably already had an email offering to upgrade you to the full suite.  If you’re still on the fence, there’s a 15 day free trial.  Also, check out the walkthrough video above.

If you do decide to buy, there’s still a few voucher codes knocking about.  STUCKINCUSTOMS is the one I used.
