Myspace, The Return!

Contrary to popular belief, Myspace is still around. It is also gearing up for a relaunch, which if this video is to be believed, looks very impressive indeed (if a little too much like Windows 8 for my liking).

The big question is, are we ready to go back to an internet where music plays when you land on a page? I’ve requested an invite regardless. I’ll let you know what it’s like when I get in.

In all seriousness, it does look very pretty. However, if Google+ has proved anything it is that life is tough below the top two spots. Facebook and Twitter rule the roost and even with Google’s might (and cunningly hooking Google+ into everything else in their arsenal).

What won’t help their cause is their past links with the Murdock empire. Whilst they were sold by News Corp in 2011, they’re going to want to make sure everyone knows that!
