The Humble Indie Bundle always does well on Linux. To the uninitiated the Humble Indie Bundle is an opportunity for people to buy a handful of Indie games for whatever amount they like, whilst helping charitable causes and developers along the way. The current bundle includes Bastion; Amnesia: The Dark Descent; Psychonauts; Limbo and Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP.
Previous bundles have seen higher average donations from Linux users compared to Windows & OSX and it appears that the appetite for this deal is still strong this time around. The Ubuntu developer blog reports that 10,000 purchases have been made on the Ubuntu Software Centre alone in the first 72 hours of it being made available. At this point there has been 374,203 bundles sold across all platforms.
Linux gamers, give yourselves a pat on the back. You’re punching above your weight again.
