Games for Cats – iPad

You may have thought that your shiny iPad was just for the humans in your household…apparently not.

Any cat owner will know that you can keep your cat amused for hours with even the smallest things – sweet wrappers, gift wrap, empty boxes and beams of light.

Games for Cats takes the light beam idea and turns it into a Gamecentre-enabled point scoring opportunity. A blob of light will move around the screen, stop briefly, wobble and then dart off somewhere else. If you cat paws at the screen and makes contact with the blob, points are scored.

This game keeps the youngest cat in the house amused for ages – she has a playful streak with a willingness to hunt. Sadly she’s too much of a chicken to actually catch anything. This is right up her street – after all, it doesn’t fight back.

Thankfully the iPad screen is pretty hard to scratch, so there is little chance of your prized tablet starting to resemble a scratching post.

You get one game for the free asking price, but there are other games to buy for £1.49 once you are in the app.

So, your cats let you believe you are their owner, as opposed to just staff?

Hehe! Until they start paying their own vet bills, my wife and I will be doing all of the owning! ;)
