I’m excited! A friend from work has a Zorki 4 that has been sat unused in his house for a few years. He knew he had it but it went missing for a while and he couldn’t find it. I’ve just been told that he’s found it and he’s letting me borrow it to see how I get on.
I need to pick up a few rolls of film now, but I’ll put some shots up when they come out (assuming they do!).
A bit of background: The Zorki 4 was made by the KMZ factory in Krasnogorsk, Russia way back in 1956. It was manufactured right up until 1973 by which point it had become the Zorki 4K.
It’s a very basic 35mm rangefinder camera, fully manual in operation and with no light meter so it is going to be one hell of a culture shock having used digital cameras for the past 10 years.
Definitely looking forward to it though.
